Frequently asked questions:

Do I qualify?
If you are 18 years or older and work or live in St. Charles, Batavia, Geneva, Elburn, Campton Hills, LaFox, Lily Lake, Valley View, Wasco or Wayne you qualify.

What will I learn?
Your tutor will create lessons based on what you need to know like English conversation, work words, or how to help your children succeed at school. You will learn exactly what you need to know so you will learn quickly and remember more. Your tutor can also help explain things that are confusing so you will feel at home in our community.

When are lessons?
You will meet for one hour each week at a time you and your tutor choose – mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

What if I have to miss a lesson?
Adults learn best when they attend their lessons regularly but if you have to miss a lesson, your tutor will hold your lesson until the next time you meet. You will never fall behind.

Where are lessons held?
You will meet at the library or another public place. Most tutors and students meet at the St. Charles Public Library, Geneva Public Library, Batavia Public Library or Town & Country Public Library in Elburn.
